middle school is the biggest challenge with truancy and educational challenges and we know that while we are increasing the performance stand of the whole cities one of the highest increases in the whole state is happening here in the public schools in san francisco they are to the satisfied with just a bump we need to taken it at the highest levels and train from elementary to middle to high school and the college all of the kids in our skill set is so they can become the grounds for recruitment for every industry in our city that whether it's healthcare, technology, or whether it's tourism, and all the other great things that are happening in our city. and in fact we invested in 2012 in kid s f a special program we got funding from from the government federal department. labor to create the technology training center tech s f to reach out to disadvantaged kids in our city and make sure that they are getting the skill sets and the support that they need to so they can get in and really help us get rid of this digital guide that we suffer from and continue to suffer from in many of ou

perhaps some of it is an awareness or an education about resource he he that are available. there's a whole gamut of people available to remove graffiti, people who have never done it before, maybe they're painters but they just have access to materials and they are used to taking paint off. i guess farther down the spectrum of people that have never done it before and just want to be good citizens to remove graffiti. then you go up through -- you know, people who just specialize in graffiti removal. there's people who, you know, more like me who get technically involved and we test everything. you've got vendors out there that are selling you products, including antigraffiti coatings. so, i think there's a level of what the significance of the historic building, if we're talking about the white house or the national monument, you know, we'll always get -- usually find people who are super well qualified. and then if it's -- you know, if it were my house and it was built in the 1920s, i might get more ghosting. it's just a matter of -- not me. i would do a good job. from a distance as a landscape, but once again up close there is another level of information that's educational about this facility. >> fire fly by artist ned con is an art installation which rises straight from the golden gate avenue sidewalk to the top of the building. >> the fire fly wall will be 5 by 5 polley carbon plates that will move with the wind and show a wave effect in the daytime. when those also swing back and forth and they hit the fulcrum, it will also set up an led light that will cover the fire fly. so, at nighttime people in another part of san francisco can see the side of our building and about 20 feet wide and 10 stories high will be a wall that will flickr on and off like fire flies at nighttime. it will be so energy efficient that if all those lights go on, it will be the equivalent of a 40 watt bulb. and also the new piece of artwork going all the way down the side of the building, which looks like this incredible wind ripples on a pond. and i thought, oh, my god, how incredible, how wonderful. >> inside the building we will have water walls in the main staircase, and t
